Message from Joe Morris MP

Hexham is where I’ve always called home, and I feel an immense sense of pride being from Northumberland.

In Parliament, colleagues often ask me for recommendations for their Northumberland ‘staycation’s and it is no surprise why so many British people choose to visit our region. This truly is the most beautiful corner of the country. But while our surroundings draw visitors in, we here know it takes more than scenery to build a thriving community.

For too long, our constituency has been taken for granted – a reflection of the wider neglect felt across the North East. I will always put Hexham, Northumberland, and the people of our region first.

To unlock our constituency’s full potential, we need real investment: better transport links that connect our towns and villages, affordable housing, and secure well-paid jobs. That’s how we’ll make sure our young people can build their lives here, rather than feeling forced to leave. I’ll keep fighting for the investment and change we deserve.
